Low Smoke Zero Halogen cables reduce the amount of toxic and corrosive gases emitted during fire situations. They are often used in areas that are nor well ventilated, such as trains and other forms of transport. The use of LSZH cable is especially prevalent in the railway industry, especially on the London Underground. To be called ‘LSZH cables’ accurately and ensure safety in fire situations, LSZH cables must pass 3 tests pertaining to halogen content, low smoke density and flame propagation.
